THE HOT RODS
Formed in 2003 under the sizzling heat and party atmosphere of the French Riviera, the Hot Rods are the perfect antidote to the typical slick, stale and soulless function band. These boys know how to rock, how to roll and how to get the good times flowing.
A dynamic function band specialising in Rock, Pop & Soul from the 60s to present day, they are made up of four professional musicians who have performed throughout the U.K and Europe with household names such as Bon Jovi, Simply Red, Billy Bragg and Carl Barat.
The Hot Rods tailor their set to every event, accept requests (in advance!) and can perform instrumental Jazz on request. Musical director Spencer Brown performs with both electric and upright bass and has a formidable reputation on the UK Jazz circuit.
They perform with passion, conduct themselves with total professionalism, and are guaranteed to get the party started wherever they go. musicians who have singularly and collectively played throughout the U.K and Europe .All tastes are catered for with a wide repertoire of classic and contemporary pop, rock and soul.
NB: When you book The Hot Rods, you don’t need to book a DJ.
We have our own professional PA sound system and whilst we are happy to work alongside a DJ, we have DJ playlists to play between our live sets. Many clients prefer to compile their own ipod playlists and plug into our system.

We just wanted to pass on our sincere thanks to The Lost Boys who played at our wedding on 11th April 2009, they were absolutely fantastic! They made the evening brilliant, we haven’t danced so much in our lives. They did Take That’s ‘Greatest Day’ for our first day which was perfect. All our guests commented on how great they were and lots have asked for contact details. We just wish we had an excuse to throw another party so we could hire them again!
Could you please pass on our sincere thanks the the Lost Boys who recently played at our wedding. They did a fantastic job and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
We would like to thank you and all “The Hot Rods” for providing such an excellent evening’s entertainment for our wedding on 23rd August 2008. The music was fantastic, just what we hoped for, and enticed all the guests on the dance floor over the course of the evening – jostling for space at certain times!
All our friends and family have commented on the quality of the band, in many cases, as the most memorable part of the wedding! Most importantly, we had a wonderful evening, in no small part down to the music and dancing, so many thanks. We are very glad you were able to travel up to Suffolk to help make it such a successful party. Would happily recommend the band to anyone else looking for an excellent live band for their party.
We hired Pop City to play at our Christmas Party for the managing directors of our company and we weren’t disappointed! The live music started a little later than we had hoped for as the evening meal and speeches over ran, but thankfully Vibetown were very flexible in their timings and went on to perform a stunning 90min set. Everyone commented on how good they were, we definitely want them back again next year!
